Rusizi Site Description

This is a typical urban background site located at Kamembe International Airport in the Western Province of Rwanda. There is no major source of airport pollution close to the site. However, some emissions (particulates) can be expected from aircraft during landing/take-off, aircraft taxi/ servicing, local car traffic and construction activities at the airport. This is not a busy airport as only two planes landings will occur twice per day. The closest road is situated approximately 60m and no trees around the sites. There is a typical urban residential area situated at approximately 2 km from the airport
